Who likes driving?
So, here's the plan for next weeks roadtrip:
We leave wednesday night and drive to Effingham (some of you may remember a certain stoned night driving to Kyle's, listening to the "new" Prince tape (NPG) and missing our exit, finally realizing we'd gone wrong when we hit glorious Effingham).
We then take two days to reach Flagstaff where we'll stay with Liz and Benita.
Saturday is another long day of driving to San Francisco to stay with Kyle. Monday, we have lunch with Marco Maggi in San Francisco (very heavy accent, "Oh! a rendezvous in the West!"). He's an artist from Montevideo, Uruguay who'll be putting up a show at some gallery there and he's invited us to come check it out. He'll be staying in Athens as a visiting artist at the beginning of next quarter.
Then we drive to Reno to install Missy's show.
Lotta fucking driving goin' on. I've got the iPod battery pack so it runs off external batteries that will last more than two hours, got the phone charger that plugs into the dashboard, got snacks, books on tape . . . I just don't know how to pack clothes for a trip like this with the limited space we have (the artwork that hasn't been sent already takes up most of the car space that's not us).
