Clouds

cloud1

In dreams it's warm to the touch.

cloud2

Nothing-voices, mostly breath.

cloud3

People would stand in line for hours to wax their massive surfaces with Armor-All and goatskin shammies.

cloud5

At night they stop hiding and can be seen hovering near unlit doorways.

cloud6

By morning they are perfectly camouflaged as their surroundings and cannot be detected again.

Clarina Bezzola stayed with us last week. She's from New York and makes fabulous and mystical things/clothes/furniture. She was an absolutely gracious house guest and had the greatest full-goat-torso luggage I've ever seen. It was a whole goat . . . with a shoulder strap.

You should check out her site. It has video of her performances, more great photos of her in her pieces, drawings and sketchbooks, reviews and her show schedule.

The puppetry goes slowly these days. Cabin fever winter blues sleepytime has been in charge. I've been trying to sketch up things for a 2D piece. I miss drawing and painting a little.

Yet another wee head . . . and blurry!

7i1

You can take in much more of the world with 7 eyes. The Witness sees all and remembers nothing.

7i2

Painting has barely begun, but you know I start to feel wormy if I don't update progress at least once a week.

7i3

This weekend I start cuting-out, piecing-together, and sewing-together the bodies for these guys. Show opens April 1st. Stupidfool's Day!

AND:

We might be buying a house this weekend! 14 acres in the mountains with a huge two-story studio building, three barns and a swimming pool. It makes my brain hurt to think about it too much.
